Some devices are discovered and categorized under Desktop category even if they are not Desktops. This happens if SNMP is not enabled on the device. To change device category follow the below steps.
Go to the device snapshot page of the device whose category has to be changed.
Under the Device Details tab click on the value that is mentioned corresponding to the Category field.
Select the appropriate category. Now the category of that device is changed.
If some Servers are wrongly categorized as Desktops you have the option to change the devices' category at a single shot. To import multiple devices into server category follow the below steps.
Go to the servers map page.
Click on Import.
Select the devices that are displayed in the Desktop category box and move to Servers category box.
