Device CategoryBased on the response showed by the devices during discovery to the SNMP requests sent by the Probe, the devices are classified into the below categories.
- Servers
- Routers
- Firewalls
- Switches
- Printers
- Desktops
- URL
- UPS
- Wireless
- Domain Controller
Devices which are not SNMP enabled or which don't have a pre-defined device type will be classified under desktop category. However, you can change the category. To do so,
- Go to the snapshot page of the device for which you want to change the category.
- Under Device Details tab, Click on the name mentioned in Category field. Select the Category to which want the device to be changed.
