Follow the steps given below to provide your technicians and customers with a direct access URL for the helpdesk. You may do this to prevent the technicians from accessing the other portions of MSP Center Plus such as monitoring & management and facilitate your customer to raise tickets and know their status.

  1. Try http://centralserver:8080/scp/HomePage.do or https://centralserver/helpdesk - where central server is the IP Address/DNS Name of the Central Server and 8080 is the default port for helpdesk (if you are running on some other port, then specify that port number). This URL will take you to a page which provides a helpdesk-only view. Your customers can login here and see tickets pertaining to them alone (assuming you already have created the login permissions for them from Network Monitoring-> Admin-> Users).


  2. Now create an alias url such as support.yourcompany.com and point it to http://centralserver:8080/scp/HomePage.do or https://centralserver/helpdesk. Thats it, you have now enabled a helpdesk only view.
Creating an alias url:
  1. Go to Helpdesk-> Admin-> Settings.
  2. Enter the alias url.

  3. Click Save button.
