Changing the default ports
Default Ports
The default ports that are used by MSP Center Plus are as follows:
MSP Central
MSP Probe
Firewall Settings
IF the Central is Behind Firewall
- configure firewall to allow inbound/outbound access for the following ports
443
8080
IF the Probe is Behind Firewall
- configure firewall to allow inbound/outbound access for the following
ports
443
Note:
All the Ports are TCP Ports
Changing the default ports
If any of the default port is occupied, then you change the port. Follow the steps given below to change the port number:
Stop the Central/Probe Server, whose port number you want to change
Open the ports.properties file [<Central/Probe home>\conf].
Change the required port number.
Save and close the file.
Start the Central/Probe Server.
