Reports

Reports are very useful in tracking the performance and taking corrective actions. Reports can be generated from Desktop Management inorder to examine the performance of the systems monitored. Select the customer from Filter by Customer box. You have the option to export the report into PDF format by clicking on the Export PDF or you can take printouts by clicking on Printer Friendly. Here the reports are categorized into
Configuration Reports
This option helps you to take reports on the configurations that are applied to the users and computers. By clicking on Configuration by User you can view the configurations that are applied to each user and clicking on Configuration by Computer you can view the configurations that are applied to each computer. You can also filter the configurations by Applied time and Configuration Type.

Patch Reports
This option helps you to take reports of the Vulnerable Systems, Vulnerable Patches and Supported Patches.

Vulnerable Systems
Here you can view the reports of the systems according to their vulnerability. The same is also displayed as a pie chart or a bar graph. Also you can view the computer name, OS name, Domain, Total patches, Installed patches, Missing patches, Obsolete patches, Informational patches and health details listed. By clicking on any of these details you can view that particular detail's information in depth.

Vulnerable Patches
You can view and generate the reports of the patches that affect the network. Here the vulnerable patches will be listed along with their patch ID, Bulletin ID, Severity and the systems count (Affected, Installed and Missing). System count indicates the count of systems affected, the count of the systems in which the patch has been installed and the count of the systems in which the patch has not yet installed. By clicking on the count you can view the details of the systems that are affected by this patch. You can view the bulletin details in depth by clicking the Bulletin ID and the details of the patch in depth by clicking the patch name.

Patches will be listed according to their release date. You have the option to list the patches that got released at a particular time interval by configuring the Choose a Time Interval. You can select either Pre-defined Interval or Custom Interval. Under Pre-defined interval you can select any of the available options and under custom interval you have to specify the From date and To date of the time interval and click on Generate. By default all the patches that got released in the current month will be displayed.

Supported Patches
Here all the patches that are released by Microsoft Corporation irrespective of whether they are related to your network or not will be listed. When you plan to upgrade the systems in your network by installing the latest applications, you can sneak through this report to check whether any updates are available for the application.

You have the option to list the patches that got released at a particular time interval by configuring the Choose a Time Interval. You can select either Pre-defined Interval or Custom Interval. Under Pre-defined interval you can select any of the available options and under custom interval you have to specify the From date and To date of the time interval and click on Generate. By default all the patches that got released in the current month will be displayed.

Inventory Reports
Desktop Management provides various out-of-the-box inventory reports to view the Hardware, Software and the Licenses used in the network. Here you can also change the inventory scan schedule by clicking on Change. You can export the reports into a CSV file by clicking on Export CSV and into a PDF file by clicking on Export PDF.

Hardware Reports
Here all the hardwares that are used in the network are categorized and listed inorder to view and generate reports. Also the same is displayed as a bar graph or pie chart. The different categories are
  • Computers by OS: Provides the details of the Computers by their OS.
  • Computers by Manufacturer: Provides the details of the Computers by their Manufacturers.
  • Computers by Memory: Provides the details of the Computers by their RAM size.
  • Computers by Age: Provides the details of the Computers by their year of manufacture.
  • Computers by Device type: Provides the details of the Computers by their type like Laptop, Table PC etc.
  • Hardware Manufacturers: Provides the details of the Manufacturers of the hardwares that are being used in the network.
  • Hardware Type: Provides the details of the hardwares that are being used in the network by their type like Keyboard, Pointing device etc.
  • Computer's Disk Usage: Provides the details free disk space and Total disk space of the computers.
Software Reports
Here all the softwares that are used in the network are categorized and listed inorder to view and generate reports. The different categories are
  • Software Vendors by Volume: Provides the details of the softwares vendors with their product count and total installation count.
  • Software by Volume: Provides the details of the softwares with version, vendor and count of the copies. You can filter them by their vendor names.
  • Recently Installed Software: Provides the details of the software that are installed recently. By default, it lists the softwares that are installed in the last one month. You have an option to select a different period or to specify a custom period.
  • Prohibited Software: Provides the list of prohibited software being used in the network.
  • Software Usage by Computer: Provides the list of software being used in the network along with its usage statistics in each computer.
License Reports
Here the license reports are categorized into
  • License Compliance report: Provides the details of the commercial softwares according to their license compliant status. You can also filter them by their compliant status. By default all the commercial softwares will be displayed irrespective of their compliant status. The license compliance status is determined based on the input provided in the Manage Software Licenses setting.
  • License to be Renewed: Provides the details of the commercial softwares whose license has to be renewed. By default all the softwares whose license will be expiring shortly will be displayed. You have the option to list the software according to the duration before their license expires by configuring Choose a Time Interval. You can select either Pre-defined interval or Custom Interval. Under Pre-defined interval you can select any of the available options and under custom interval you have to specify the from date and to date of the time interval and click on Generate. You can also view the details of the software whose license have got expired by selecting Expired from the Pre-defined Interval.
