Hotfix 7201 Released Date: October 13th 2009- Permission restricted for read only users to uninstall/remove agents in DesktopCentral Module.
- From 7201 release onwards, SCP port will not get auto incremented if it is already occupied. DC Web Server port will not auto increment if occupied by itself, else it auto increments.
- The special tags display problem in schedules tab of helpdesk module has been fixed.
- Overlapping of schedules in schedules page of helpdesk module has been fixed.
- In device snapshot page, option to remove template from a device has been provided.
- In Monitoring Templates UI, option to remove a custom monitor has been provided.
- Option to remove a monitoring template from multiple devices has been provided.
- While deleting a custom monitoring template, the monitors added to any device through this template will also be deleted.
- Special characters are not allowed in monitoring template name, custom monitor name and custom monitor display name.
- UI level fix for Rearm value to accept value equal to threshold for 'greater and less than' threshold options in edit monitors.
- MSP Central server / probe start-up fails because of database table (pdLastValues) corruption. This issue has been fixed by automatically identifying and repairing the corrupted tables.
- IGNORE option included in the LOAD DATA query that is being used for loading data from probe to central server.
- Number of threads spanned for processing the received data at the central server is made configurable.
- If the thread which transfers data from probe to central server is hung, then probe will automatically stop and restart the data transfer thread.
- Java option has been included to generate a heap dump file if there is any OutOfMemory Error. This option is available only if the central server or probe is started as service.
- DCConfig.exe crash issue has been fixed
- Null Pointer Exception occurs when trying to configure threshold settings for url monitor is fixed
- Instead of SecuritydbData.xml, the database has been used as master for the security module.
- If the traffic monitors have special characters in its name, then test monitor and deletion of traffic monitors throws Null Pointer Exception. This issue has been fixed.
- If interface monitors are deleted and re-added, then those monitors are missing in the Top 'N' reports. This issue has been fixed.
- Business view filter included in all devices availability report.
- When a partition monitor is readded to a device, the newly available partitions in that device are also added as monitors to that device.
- Interface / Port names are made available in Interface/Port Traffic alarms. Also correct units (bytes/sec) are made available in Interface Traffic alarms message.
- Probe availability showing down even if probe is in UP condition has been fixed.
- Appearance of blank alarm icon in the device page when device category is changed to domaincontroller has been fixed.
- URL Monitor status not getting cleared when corresponding monitor alarm is cleared has been fixed.
- Notification Profiles associated to a device get deleted when the Device Category is changed. This issue has been fixed.
- Ability to monitor Probe server parameters(i.e.,Windows Service Monitors), even when credentials are not provided.
- While generating custom reports, the monitor names are getting displayed as NULL or empty string.This issue has been fixed.
- For Novell Netware Devices neither CPU, Memory & Disk Utilization dials are displayed nor data is collected.
- When the Windows Service Alarm is cleared or deleted, the status of the alarm gets updated only in the Central but not in the Probe.This issue has been fixed.
- "Configure System Monitoring" settings UI [MSP Dashboard-> Support] is enhanced.
ServicePack 7200:Released Date: August 12th 2009 New Features:
- Out-of-the-box support to monitor VMWare ESX servers.
- Port Management has been simplified. Carry out all the port related changes from a single ports.properties file [<Installation Home>/conf directory].
- Option
to configure an email alert if any of the probe fails to send the data
to the Central server within the specified time interval from the
Configure System Monitoring page [MSP Dashboard-> Support].
- Option to configure NAT details such as NAT Name and Port from the Central web client.
- Central and Probe Startup messages are displayed in service mode in a separate window.
- Getting Started page to sequentially configure all the necessary settings in MSP Center Plus (for fresh installation).
- Only
the current log files are maintained in the logs folder. Old log files
are archived and moved to logs_archive folder automatically.
- Central
and Probe machine details like RAM size, Hard disk size, MySQL folder
size, Server Startup Time, Migration Path are made available in the
Support page.
- Option to email central server's thread dump from the Thread Dump page [MSP Dashboard-> Support].
Bug Fixes:
- In 7101 release, if there was any issue in registering the probes with the central server, appropriate error messages were not displayed. Now, this issue has been fixed by providing appropriate error messages.
- The table mismatch issue between the Central and Probe in the last upgrade pack has been fixed.
- The
".0" was not getting appended to the OID while adding a Custom Monitor
for the "Node" type of monitor. Now this has been fixed.
- The
Dials to be shown in Domain Controller snapshot pages are updated so
that the Performance Monitors can also be shown in the dials apart from
the AD System Monitors.
- ServiceDesk
Plus not getting integrated with MSP Center Plus Helpdesk module when
the Technicians/Requesters are mapped with a domain in ServiceDesk
side.This issue has been fixed.
- In
the Custom Reports and Scheduled Custom Reports, certain graphs like
CPU, Memory Utilization and Partition Details graphs were not shown. This issue has been fixed.
- In
the Custom Reports and Scheduled Custom Report, for a monitor/graph
which have instances more than 5, the reports were not shown. This issue has been fixed.
- Users
can configure the timeout interval to connect to the Mail Server while
sending the reports through mail in wrapper.conf [<central
home>\conf] and StartOpManagerServer.bat [<central home>\bin] files.
- While
upgrading to 7100/7101, details of the WMI- Disk Partition monitors
that are already added are shown in the SNMP-Host-Resource Monitors
group. This has been fixed.
- In
the 7100/7101 upgrade, when a SNMP device is added, extra CPU, Memory,
Disk monitors were added apart from the default ones. Theses extra
monitors were not shown in UI but have an entry in the DB. This issue
has been fixed.
- If
a windows service monitor is down, then an alarm will be generated.
After this alert, if the corresponding device goes down and again turns
up after sometime, then the alarm for those service monitors that are
already in down state are not raised. This issue has been fixed.
- Issue in adding a Numeric and Date type in Device Notes has been fixed.
- When
the number of customers are more, the dashboard page and all desktop
management pages took too much time to load. This issue has been fixed.
- In desktop management home page, the System Health Graph and the count shown was wrong. This issue has been fixed.
- Networks added under a shared probe will be added with customer name 'null'. This issue has been fixed.
- In 7100/7101 release, under
Admin -> Notification Profiles -> Application Monitors 'MSSQL
Monitors' were not listed and hence notification profile can not be
configured for those monitors. This issue has been fixed.
- In
desktop management UI, while trying to connect a remote computer via port
8443 a misleading message will be displayed even though that port is
free. This issue has been fixed.
- Switch ports traffic data collection stops intermittently. This issue has been fixed.
- The
Configuration definitions are missing for "Security Policies"
configuration in Desktop Management UI. This issue has been fixed.
- Issues in discovering subnets have been fixed.
Hotfix 7101: Released Date: May 30th 2009- Upgrade PPM made available
