  1. Download 7002 ppm to the Central Server.
  2. The upgrade to 7002 build will automatically take a backup of the entire Central/Probe installation directories during the upgrade process itself. Hence make sure that you have enough disk space in your Central and Probe machines. Note: If you have saved the daily backups under the installation directories, then move them to a different location in-order to avoid them from being backed up.The whole upgrade process may take a few hours depending on your installation data size and the internet connectivity between the Central and Probe.Plan accordingly during off hours.
  3. Install the ppm on the Central Server alone and check whether both the Central and all the Probes have upgraded to build 7002.
  4. Ensure whether all the Probes have upgraded to 7002. Click here to troubleshoot if the Probes fail to upgrade.
  5. Follow upgrade path 2 to upgrade to build 7200.
Instructions for applying the PPM Upgrade
  1. Shutdown the Central Server. Note: Install the ppm only in the Central Server. Probes will automatically download the service pack from the Central Server and upgrade themselves. The Probes will restart on their own, post upgrade.
  2. Make sure all the processes are killed. Open "taskmanager" and check there are no java, mysql  process running. Also terminate if any anti-virus/backup software is running.
  3. Execute UpdateManager.bat file present under <Central-Home>/bin folder.
  4. Click on Browse to locate and select the PPM file that you have downloaded.
  5. Click on Install to install the upgrade pack. Note: This may take some time depending on the data size. Wait till the upgrade is fully installed. Don't disturb the process in the middle.
  6. Click on Close to exit the UpdateManager once the upgrade is completed successfully.
  7. Start the Central Server.
  8. Verify the build number of the Central to ensure whether you have upgraded successfully to the latest build. The build number should be the latest build number what you have upgraded now.
  9. Once the Central is upgraded to the latest build, the probes will automatically upgrade to the latest build and will restart. If the probes fail to restart automatically, go to the probe machine. Stop/kill the running probe process. Open TaskManager and make sure there are no java, mysql process running. Then restart probe service manually to complete the upgrade process.
  10. Verify the build number of the Probe to ensure whether you have upgraded successfully to the latest build. The build number should be the latest build number what you have upgraded now. Click here to troubleshoot if the Probes fail to upgrade.
  11. Once all the Probes have upgraded to the latest build, restart the Central.
